Reading this week in Exodus 35 regarding the instructions given to Moses on construction of the tabernacle in the wilderness and I was struck by the detail with which God gave instruction. But as any good leader might ask…who can do such a task? This was an awesome undertaking and if Moses is like me as he’s writing this down, his mind is going…who am I going to find who has the skill and knowledge to do such a thing?
Then I read in 35:30-31,35–”Then Moses said to the sons of Israel, ‘See the Lord has called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri…of the tribe of Judah. And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in all craftsmanship…And He (God) has put in his heart to teach, both he and Oholiab of the tribe of Dan. He has filled them with skill to perform every work…”
Whatever the task, God has a man/woman in whom He has put His master touch, preparing them for a moment in history when they will be used for God’s glory. There is almost no mention of this man after the completion of this assignment. We don’t know what happened to him at all. His moment in God’s kingdom came in the Sinai wilderness.
When will your moment come? Will you be ready?
Today may be the moment for which you have been prepared all of your life.
Ready?
